If you want to come to Pilates regularly, the main choice is usually a membership or a class pack. Both can work well. The better fit depends on your week, how you prefer to pay, and whether you want a set routine or more room to move. At PKWY, our classes are music-driven, mixed level, women only, and held in small rented rooms around the city.
When a membership makes sense
A monthly membership is the simpler option if you know you want Pilates in your week. Ours covers one class each week. It suits you if you like planning ahead, want one less decision to make, and prefer a regular rhythm.
A membership can also be useful if you are trying to make Pilates part of your normal week. Once it is there, you are less likely to keep putting it off.
If you want to share a regular plan with someone else, our Friendship membership is shared between two women.
When class packs make sense
Class packs are better if your schedule changes a lot. You might work shifts, travel, have family demands, or just prefer to decide week by week. A pack lets you book when it suits you without committing to the same pattern each month.
A class pack can also be a good middle ground. You know you want more than the odd class, but you are not ready for a weekly membership. It can be a practical choice while you work out what fits, including which room feels easiest for you to get to. Packs can also be bought as a gift.
If you are new, an intro class or a drop-in is a simple place to start.
A simple way to decide
Ask yourself a few plain questions.
- Do I want one class to stay in my week most weeks?
- Does my diary change enough that I need flexibility?
- Am I ready to commit now, or do I want to try one class first?
If your answers lean towards routine, a membership is usually the better fit. If they lean towards flexibility, class packs are often easier.
There is no perfect choice for every season of life. What works well now may not be what works best in a few months. The useful thing is to pick the option that matches how you actually live, not the version of your week you wish you had.
